The collection—comprising a chair and an armchair with arms for the dining room—is dominated by the rope weaving, a design choice intended as a tribute to craftsmanship. “It’s a way for POINT to reconnect with its roots, with its tradition,” declares Christophe Pillet. “We’re dealing with an almost undefined, classic, universal object, which we’ve very subtly redesigned to give it a new modernity.” Summer is a reimagining of the traditional chair: universal, simple, functional, and timeless, now viewed through the lens of refinement, technical precision, and sensuality. “The decorative effect here comes from the texture of the weaving. Therefore, there’s something very elaborate (handmade), with a very strong design and yet very simple,” explains the designer. It is made of aluminum combined with rope and is available in multiple colors.
